Ethical Standards for the Teaching Profession
Respect
Respect for my students, one of the four ethical standards for the teaching profession as outlined in the Foundations of Professional Practice, is integrated into the lesson plans I have provided. Allowing my students to have choice in how they present the information they have learned gives them freedom. This freedom is respectful of the opinions and feelings of my students.
Trust
Providing my students with this freedom shows the trust I have in their ability to choose their own paths.

The Standards of Practice for the Teaching Profession
Commitment to Students and Student Learning
Allowing for individualized learning, much like trust and respect, has been woven into both of the research projects planned out for this unit. The environmental impact research project was planned with a multiliteracies approach: students all learn differently and have different strengths in the classroom.
Leadership in Learning Communities
Collaborative assignments, such as the organic compounds research project, allow students to learn to work together, and learn to contribute to a group effort. Safe collaborative environments can be created with a certain degree of anonymity, such as that which is provided by the Mentimeter word cloud in the introduction lesson.
Ongoing Professional Learning/Professional Knowledge
I have employed a wide variety of different learning and teaching strategies to accommodate the ever-changing world we live in. This shows a demonstration to ongoing professional learning and to professional knowledge.
Professional Practice
Everything I have demonstrated on this website shows a dedication to professional practice, and a desire to continue to better myself for the good of my students, and of myself as an educator.
